Public Meeting: "HOW DOES THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND DECIDE WHERE TO SPEND OUR MONEY?"

The discussion
of South Bend's budget process will include City Controller Mark Neal
and Deputy City Controller John Murphy, as well as Chris Fielding, the
Assistant Executive Director of the Department of Community Investment.
We also will be joined by the current and past chairs of the Common
Council's Committee on Personnel & Finance, Councilman Dave Varner
and Councilwoman Karen White. In addition to understanding how each
year's budget is determined, we'll address a second important question: "How can South Bend's community members have a greater voice in how the budget meets our needs?"
